One of the sure signs of control is trying to predict the future. That has always been something people thought would solve all of their problems and make them rich.
There is a saying, taking control over your life. A controlling person is either overwhelmed by fears or has no fears at all. Having no fears at all is on the extreme side of sociopathic behavior that is found in serial killers.
Throughout history, there have been prophets who were given gifts of telling the future when necessary, in modern days predicting the future was the job of people in the financial markets. But having control over someone’s behavior has always been a very lucrative way of living: slavery for example.
The other way of controlling people is setting up protocols for life: schooling, finding a job, and going to retirement. As that may sound very logical and prudent way of thinking about your future, predicting the distant future is against logic. Why? Simply the way as planning the fish for lunch before you catch it is not a very wise move. People who can plan the future for certainty are probably those who exhibit an unusual amount of power or control.
So whenever there is a planning of the future going on, that is a huge warning sign. We have seen this with planning the rise of sea level, climate changes, and now life expectancy.
The whole society has been groomed for planning. When you take a vacation without good planning you will probably not be as efficient as possible in spending your limited time and money, so planning is very beneficial especially when put in the limited time frame. But what if our time is not limited? If we are eternal? Crazy idea?
All of this is so because our lives have been put on protocols since a very young age. Goals such as becoming rich, famous, and having a family, house, money, and job before you are 30 put lives on a path of a protocol. Nobody wants to waste that time. Everything else that is wasting your time and money from reaching that goal is reduced. So our lives look like a protocol, the same ones we are against when we go to the doctor’s office. Sensing some lack of logic there?
This is so because our goals are set so low. Doctors always do that too, just look up the autoimmune disease section, it is for life, and there is no cure, and there is no theory behind any of these just a huge amount of vague guessing. When goals are set low, whatever you do looks like a success.
Never questioning those predictions is a waste of time, because achieving the goal will not make you happy if you are not liberated from those fears, fears grow parallel to money, wherever you go there you are: your Mind with fears that need control. Many think reaching those targets will give them control and power over their life. There is absolutely no working plan to achieve love/joy/ freedom from fears unless you plan for the Truth.
So we have been wired up not seeing anything bad in people who plan distant future and who not only see the rising sea levels or the higher temperature problems but longer life expectancy as a problem too. A problem that has arisen from the success?
A problem and a success in the same cascade of thinking? Another red light: lack of logic.
But power and control are some of the traits of upside-down triangles, which play mini Gods. Understanding you have no control over the most important aspects of your life but trying to micromanage your life is the sure sign of a narrow perspective on life, lack of life, and lack of fresh air. Playing mini-God is not an innocent little game with no consequences.
Because people do that constantly themselves they see no danger in that for those who have far more power and control over the world.
Unless you are a prophet, sent by the Holy Spirit you should either make up a theory, in the form of the natural laws: if A happens then B follows or you are in a business of control. Causal relationships are not predicting the future but finding natural laws. Saying you do not understand many things and predicting the future are you playing your mini God role, spreading fear, or purposefully adding oil to the fire to Minds that think more control will stop the fear, and this is slow and sure death down the road. If you think you are so good at predicting the future then you must have figured out some great new scientific law. If your predictions fail miserably only a few months after then your theory does not hold up against the evidence (vaccination programs).
There is no third way, either to death or life. Serial killers execute their wish for control in their early days, but many people take 50 or 70 years to execute their control over life. It is just a matter of time before the bite of a revengeful, controlling heart will strike, not if it will happen. As Jesus said those who want to save their lives will fail miserably. That confirms that there is no logic in predicting the future. But that does not make it less true that there are people who execute control and that leads to certain death.
We should learn to spot this in our lives as to spot in society because that is not an innocent little game of future predicting but a sure sign of some dark-suffocating Mind that has not seen the Light for ages.
Take a look at the FT article from one day ago that illustrates this point. That last sentence gives me chills running down my spine, what did the poet want to convey?
