Vision, Mission, Goals & Objectives for LIFE
or how to reach purpose in life and become a happy branch with lots of fruits?
If we do not move forward we move backward, there is no stalemate in life, and there is no third option, either you walk to life or death.
Eternal life is far more than anyone could imagine, or deserve. If those moments exist on Earth and the notion of them makes a man cry what would that make to one in heaven?
“If you knew how much I love you you’d cry of joy.”
Many live their lives, as if a lottery is the law of physics, accepting the unknown as something we should shape or predict, and the smarter one is, the better outcomes one gets. Every decision we make boils down to just two: yes (right), or no (wrong), to live or to die, to tell the truth, or to lie, to do our will or God’s will, to be a creature or a creator. You can not be both.
Not knowing if God exists is the same as not knowing who you are: male or female, the God or a creature. Let us try both: live like a creature but talk like a God. Practicing what you preach does not mean acting as if God exists but saying that nobody knows what is beyond death.
That chances do not shape life can be seen in nature, never in a million years would there be an elephant, three times bigger than the average. If the world is governed by chance we would see humans taller than 300 cm or shorter than 50 cm, and surely such would not survive. There is yes to life and no to life, YES exists in a very narrow range, and the path to yes is narrow compared to all the possibilities of NO. Here on earth, there are many more wrong answers than right, but that does not mean death is larger than life. A human could be 1.000.000 cm tall if life was governed by chance, but it is not. So what is the purpose of life?
1. MISSION of life is WHAT?
To do God’s will.
We can choose to do our will instead, God will not come down to Earth chasing and yelling at us, but whatever we will do with our strength and limited capabilities will be inferior to what God designed. That’s also a statement of logic. A creature can not create better than the creator. But we can collaborate. The offer is here until the last day, the last second of our life.
2. The VISION of life is WHY?
Why would we choose one will over the other?
There are just two answers to that: to live or to die. Those who think they can extinct themselves somehow from life should recall basic laws of physics. There is no way out of creation. Vision answers to the question why not my will?
Many people like to call themselves logical, and factual, yet little of the logic can be found in a sentence,” I know we all die, but nobody can know for sure what happens after the death.” Even Jordan Peterson thinks the answer “I do not know” is pure logic, which tells that understanding is in the Heart not the Mind.
Doing one thing and saying another? Doing as if God exists but saying I do not know? This is as far from the logic as it can be. Logical people do and say the same thing.
Not knowing is not a sin, but telling that nobody knows and it cannot be known is a lie.
How wise is it to live life without a vision? How logical and wise is portraying your weakness as wisdom? It can not be done, so do not even try, nobody knows. This reminds me of a childhood when children in school would give excuses for their bad test results. Nobody did it right therefore it can not be done. As if God is inferior to understanding our capabilities.
I do not know is not a vision for life, and life should have purpose and vision.
I do not know answers can not pass your exams, a professor could have known that? But knowing your vision in life is not as important as any of the questions for the exams you take at university. Nobody can know, so I do not know as well.
Calling Jesus nobody is not a YES-NO wanna-be answer, but a clear NO. Not knowing about eternity if such exists, for a person of logic would be a problem worth giving up the entire life to find out the answer because a hundred years to eternity is negligible in importance. The easiest route to the “solution” is to say nobody can know. How similar to a childish excuse.
The fact is there is evidence of resurrection, the Torin cloth. The Book has been written on the good news: we can live forever. 100 years or eternity, which is more important? That question by logic, becomes the most important question of one’s life. Worth thinking about 24/7.
YES and NO in the same sentence is evidence of paralysis by analysis, it’s like a computer that freezes. By all means there is nothing logical in that. Logic exists only when there are inputs and outputs.
What is the reason behind the excuse to say nobody knows?
It is difficult enough to imagine the future let alone eternity hence it does not exist in our Mind. And if it is not in our Minds, it is not true?
So why would going beyond imagination be unimportant or useless for humans? Without going beyond what we see now, no progress would ever be possible on Earth, let alone in the realm of invisible matters that can not fit our Minds. If that is what you could have not imagined made one cry why is not that possible for eternity?
People without knowledge can be recognized by opinions that always include oxymorons: “I do not know”, “nobody knows”, or “You and I do not know, but I will choose this way”…..Like a blind driver taking the route of a chance, and bragging honestly about not knowing where he/she is going. That is a private decision where i wanna go.
The essence of any faith is imagination of what is beyond, and then waiting for the evidence to come. The evidence, in this case, will come at the end, but putting your life in eternity on stake for another person’s opinion, this is not that moment, you gamble with.
It is your eternity on the cards, nobody will tell you later sorry because I misled you. I would not bet my eternity on human intelligence, not the one that plays it smart and even admits how limited he/she is. Like a person being “completely honest” with you, admits that does not know, but lives as knows everything from shoelaces to skyrockets.
Doing what you preach is being humble and not saying “I do not know” but living as if you know. Answer with a question is not a valid argument, nor a fact. This is a lack of logic at display enveloped in a rich vocabulary. A pattern found in day-to-day situations, not exclusive to a few.
Every lie has to have some kind of “sweetener” to look like the truth. In every case, a person is drowning his/her Soul because accepting her/his limits for a fact. The truth can not be known. Leaving it to God to decide is like never wanting to grow up and learn how to fly, and giving up on your free will while having no better vision for yourself, but doing yes/no interchangeably.
People with opinions choose what is to be true, and what is not, or what is possible and what is not. They play mini-God.
Just in case we can find electricity, I will do my best to live as if electricity exists, but it won’t be me who will find it, I will wait for electricity to find me. Tesla should have tried that logic.
Logic means united in logic. Not knowing God and thinking of yourself as a person of logic is a sign of pride (ego drama), and the sad fact is we all suffer from that illness: not being logical enough. That is exactly why we need more light.
So the logical answer to why not my will would be to live. I want to do God’s will to save my body and live for eternity. Anybody who wants to become a person of logic must drink from a well of Logos. In simple terms like this:
Goals and objectives in Life are HOW?
So if we are on a mission to do God’s will because we want to live, how do we achieve this? Easy.
Jesus left just one Law, we should obey if we want to live:
1. To Love the Truth, with all your personality: mind, soul, heart, and body.
2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
This law puts the triangle of our personality in an upward position, with the heart seeking the Truth, and Mind and Soul grounded, humbled to listen to the Truth, to let the Truth in to do the work inside our Soul and integrate us into Logos, into logical person. The solution to the problem is always repeating steps 1 & 2 until the problem is solved: we become logical. Repetition is the mother of success.
So the real success in life is to get to eternity, and go beyond our minds, and our patience, lean on God’s ample resources to maximize the Truth. We are not much different from plants in that sense, we need the light to thrive. Plants do not have free will to turn away from the sun, and the scientific law that creation can not be annihilated is valid to this day.
WHAT? HOW? WHY?
“I am the way, the truth, and the life”, said Jesus.
Instead of taking a path, many take shortcuts (or a path of least resistance). Just like Eve did when taking a shortcut to her wisdom. We want fruits without doing some gardening: “… when the woman saw that the tree was good for food that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband …..”.
People want life, and a happy one, but instead on the path to Truth they turn in the other direction to shortcuts of lies. Instead of doing it, talking is easier, instead of thinking, opinion-making is easier, instead of finding the answer, finding the excuses, instead of admitting a mistake, blaming it on others, etc.
Our mission is path, this means it will take some time and willpower to cover the ground of that path. The goal is to get to the truth, to know more tomorrow than yesterday, to unite yourself in Logos, and to become logical, nobody has anything against that, not even a liar, who also wants to know the truth. But in the same manner as a selfish love, wanting to keep it all for him/herself. A small baby’s point of view on life.
Since only the Soul can discern good from evil, or become wise, strong, and decisive, our gut feeling becomes corrupted with lies we feed into her. Turned upside down, our hearts always pointing to a lie, brain filled with opinions and lack of truth. That person lacks wisdom, becomes envious of other people’s success, and does everything to have that feeling of worthiness. For the soul that feels like a battle for life or death but this soul did not do anything to unite herself with the truth: did not become wiser just more hungry for power, greedy, or if the Soul was eating a little bit of lies and a little bit of Truth becomes indecisive and brags about “I do not know” while I know at the same time how to live a life. Hides a lack of knowledge behind “nice words”, preferably one you can not easily follow. It is all in the impression, after all, in the opinion of yet another opinionmaker. Dying to be right is the sport of opinionmakers.
THE GOOD NEWS is:
Every single one of us was born with enough gifts to fulfill our life mission successfully: become a tree that bears fruits. You are born to accomplish your mission and not to fail. But if we turn our back to the light, most probably some of those gifts will be taken away and given to someone else. It can be known, it can be done, it is just a matter of how much you love the Truth.
So what are these gifts or talents that Jesus talks about, that give life to our Soul? There are two for the Mind and Heart and three for the Soul. Our Soul (Gut) gets all the gifts to accomplish what, how, and why of life.
HEART GIFTS: 1. PIETY 2. UNDERSTANDING
GIFTS for MIND: 1. FEAR OF GOD 2. KNOWLEDGE
gifts for the soul: 1. WISDOM (what?) 2. FORTITUDE (how?) 3. COUNSEL (why ?)
Catholic Cathehism never explained which gifts are for what part of our personality, and because of that a lot of meaning is missing. In the next chapter, I’ll explore the meaning of these gifts in detail and what happens when gifts are rejected.
